Hi, I’m Paren—your cinematic lens into Japan's heart. I believe the best souvenirs from Japan aren't things, but the memories of how it felt to be here.

For over a decade, I've had the privilege of calling Japan my home. Since 2019, I have been documenting the journeys of solo travelers, couples, and families here. Since 2025, I've dedicated my work exclusively to photographing couples, crafting romantic, cinematic imagery that celebrates genuine connection and the magic of Japan.

My shooting style is intentionally laid-back and unobtrusive, allowing your genuine moments to unfold naturally. In post-production, I bring these moments to life with an editing aesthetic that is warm, vibrant, dreamy and cinematic—preserving the rich tones and authentic atmosphere of your experience.

How does the booking and planning process work?

My process is seamless and stress-free. First, you'll submit my booking form with your desired locations, travel dates, and contact details, and then officially lock in your spot with a signed contract and deposit. From there, we co-create your session using a custom guide filled with hand-scouted locations, access ways, tips, and logistics. Finally, you’ll enjoy a completely relaxed session on the ground, select your favorite frames from a private proof gallery, and receive your final cinematic edits. Can you help us choose the best locations and times for our session?

Absolutely! Navigating a foreign country can be overwhelming, so I handle the heavy lifting for you. Once your booking is confirmed, I will send you a custom PDF planning guide featuring my hand-scouted locations and clear directions on how to get there from your hotel. From there, we can look through the backdrops together and decide on the absolute best locations and optimal times of day to ensure beautiful lighting and minimal crowds.

What happens if it rains on our scheduled shoot day?

I closely monitor local weather forecasts leading up to your session. In the case of light rain, we can utilize clear, minimalist umbrellas to create a cinematic rainy aesthetic that is romantic for couples and fun for kids and families. If heavy or disruptive rain is predicted, we will look to reschedule the session to a backup date or an alternate time window based on our mutual availability.

How long does it take to get our photos back?

I know how exciting it is to share your memories while you are still traveling. You will receive a private online proof gallery to choose your favorite frames within 3 days of our session. Once you submit your final selections, your color-graded, high-quality images in my signature editing style will be delivered within 1 week (2 weeks for video projects). If you need them even faster, an express delivery add-on is available.
